Data Retention Policy

This Data Retention Policy explains what information Stockfolio keeps, for how long, and how users can request deletion. This policy applies to the Stockfolio mobile app and website.

Retention principles

• We retain personal data only for legitimate business, security, legal, and operational purposes.
• We minimize retention duration where practical.
• When data is no longer required, we delete or de-identify it.

Typical retention periods

• Account profile data: retained while your account is active.
• Portfolio and transaction records: retained while your account is active to provide historical performance.
• Authentication and session records: retained for security and fraud prevention for a limited period.
• Push device tokens: retained until revoked, inactive, or account deletion.
• Operational logs and diagnostics: retained for a limited period required for reliability and abuse prevention.

Account deletion and data deletion requests

You can request account deletion by contacting privacy@stockfolio.in using your registered account email/phone. After verification, we will delete or anonymize personal data associated with your account, except data we must keep for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting obligations.

Post-deletion handling

• Primary user-identifiable data is deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
• Backup copies may persist for a limited rolling period before secure expiry.
• Certain records may be retained where required by law or to resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

Policy updates

We may revise this policy from time to time. Material changes are published here with an updated effective date.
